Module 1: Strategic & Environmental Awareness for Senior Management

  • Understanding global and regional trends impacting business (market, tech, regulatory, ESG)
  • Scenario planning & strategic foresight tools to anticipate disruption
  • Competitive positioning and value chain analysis
  • Mapping organisational capabilities and gaps
  • Case Study: Examine a multinational or major firm that failed (or succeeded) in adapting to mega-trends (e.g. digital transformation / climate change) and draw lessons.

Module 2: Advanced Decision-Making & Leading Through Transition

  • Decision theory and frameworks (e.g. risk-reward trade-offs, biases, complexity)
  • Change leadership: transitions during growth, turbulence, or crisis
  • Resilience and agility: leading in VUCA (volatile, uncertain, complex, ambiguous) contexts
  • Planning for resilient operations—digital, remote, supply chain disruptions
  • Exercise: Participants simulate a major organizational disruption (e.g., supply chain failure, regulatory shock, economic downturn) and develop a response plan including communication, resource reallocation, risk mitigation.

Module 3: High-Performance Teams & Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Leading across silos: breaking down barriers, enabling collaboration
  • Talent identification & development at senior levels
  • Fostering psychological safety, a culture of innovation, and learning from failure
  • Hybrid/remote leadership dynamics at senior levels
  • Group Project: Design a cross-functional innovation initiative (e.g., a sustainably oriented new product, process improvement, or ESG integration) involving multiple departments. Propose structure, roles, KPIs.

Module 4: Upward & Stakeholder Influence & Corporate Governance

  • Communication with boards, investors, regulators; presenting strategic options, reporting on ESG & risk
  • Stakeholder mapping and management (internal and external)
  • Governance: preparing for board roles, understanding fiduciary duties, transparency & accountability
  • Conflict resolution at senior leadership and board levels
  • Exercise: Prepare and deliver a mock board presentation of a strategic proposal (including risk, ESG implications, and financial forecast), followed by peer & facilitator critique.

Module 5: Value Creation & Sustainable Leadership

  • Strategic innovation & value-creating strategies aligned with ESG, sustainability, and social responsibility
  • Long-term performance metrics: balanced scorecards, integrated reporting, stakeholder value
  • Sustainable competitive advantage: what differentiates enduring organisations
  • Ethical leadership & corporate purpose as a strategic asset
  • Capstone: Each participant develops a “Senior Leadership Value Creation Roadmap” for their organization. This includes strategic priorities, governance or ESG integration, real metrics, and an implementation plan with change levers.

METHODOLOGY

The instructor-led trainings are delivered using a blended learning approach and comprise presentations, guided sessions of practical exercise, web-based tutorials, and group work. Our facilitators are seasoned industry experts with years of experience, working as professionals and trainers in these fields. All facilitation and course materials will be offered in English. The participants should be reasonably proficient in English.

ACCREDITATION

Upon successful completion of this training, participants will be issued a Skillstate Institute certificate.

TRAINING VENUE

The training will be held at a Skillstate Institute Training Centre. The course fee covers the course tuition, training materials, two break refreshments, and lunch. All participants will additionally cater to their travel expenses, visa application, insurance, and other personal expenses.
